Off the Plane, Back to Work
It wasn’t 1 hour after we got off the air plane from Arizona that we were catching up with work for the guitar shop. We took a visit to Accurate CNC Services in Hayden, Idaho to talk with Don (left) and see the progress on our necks.
A couple necks were finished, but the rest of them were not fitting into the vacuum mount for the CNC machine, so we have to make a few adjustments on the neck blanks. Nothing major and we are able to use the completed necks to get the next batch of harp guitars further along. Starting a company and making use of these new ways of manufacturering is not without its learning curves. I know the more we make the easier it will get.
We also got to pick up the headstock veneers that had our Tonedevil logo laser engraved. These turned out fantastic and will give us the look we are going for. We are discussing if there will be a clear fill so you can see the bevelled look of the engraving or if we should fill it with something colorful or reflective. I think either way it will accentuate the logo and put a great final touch to our overall design for these instruments. Working with Accurate CNC has been a real blessing and has increased the consistency and quality of our instruments.
