Building a 13 String Harp Guitar Neck
Anthony showcased his skills in this video carving a piece of Sapele down into a 13-string harp guitar neck. Spokeshaving, rasping, sanding, and cutting at triple speed shows the neck getting roughed in and then smoothed to its almost final stages.
This is of course part of the comission build we are doing for a customer wanting this unique design of harp guitar that has no hollow arm, so all the additional harp strings are housed on the guitar neck. We are considering a line of this design with 12-strings, 6 guitar and 6 subs since it will be much more “travellable, lighter weight, and less cumbersome to hold in your lap while playing making it ideal for smaller players.
WOW how cool is that !
Way cool; thanks for the opportunity to watch you work on the 13 stringer. You guys are brave!
