Aviram Dayan Productions released a harp guitar MIDI sampler, and included the Tonedevil Freedom Harp in the background images of the GUI. The the master volume animated indicator moves up the harp arm side and there are several different acoustic plucked instruments to choose from. From their site:
Sound From Different Types Of Harp Guitars:
Tonedevil – The Freedom Harp,
HarpLyre, Holloway, Mandolin, Chitarpa, Balalaika,
Knutsen guitar, Harp-Lyres, Tamburica.
I don’t include a lot of MIDI samples in my recording sessions, but the samples used here are high enough quality to make mixes sound natural. Acoustic instruments add an organic feel and contrast well when layered with other digital synthesizers and loops. Its a great compositional tool that is easy to use without having to plug a mic in and record tracks. The harp guitar can add both deep low sub bass range harp notes as well as super treble zither strings offering a full symphonic range of plucked strings. I’m not sure if the super trebles were included in the sampler package (nylon or steel string), but perhaps we will see an update to add more refills using more of our instruments.
